Fade

She once was so strong, but now she is weak/Her voice was so loud and now she can't speak/Her smile so bright, faded to a grin/The warm light in her eyes turned cold and dim/The heaviest of burdens once felt so light/With the weight she now carries, she can't make it through the night/That girl was so ambitious, so hopeful, and unique/Now her drained lifeless eyes cry, "You did this to me."

True Love's Fate

"Just to be close to you," She whispers to him in the midnight air,
"I'd give up everything. I'd travel anywhere.

"Just to be close to me," He softly whispers back...
"You'd give up everything? You'd do anything I asked?"
"Yes, I'd give up everything and do anything you asked."
He paused for a moment, oh so deep in thought...
"Let's take the dare of true love's fate.
Let's turn around and walk away.
We'll live our lives as though our paths never crossed.
As though we are unaware of the love we've lost.
If our roads once again intertwine,

So without a thought and without a care,
they tested their love through this fateful dare.
They turned around and walked away,
hoping to return to the arms of one another someday.

o inspiration, where are you hiding
are you outside, in the cold
hiding beyond these four walls

when i long to express emotions buried deep within
and the thoughts that are backed up like traffic in my mind...you hide
water drips, i hear it in the distance
the clock continues to tick, second after second
the streets are busy with people passing
but everything else stands still
when thoughts in my mind are ready to explode
when anxieties, fears and frustrations change from day to day

at times you offer yourself in endless amounts
other times you stay hidden
and you leave me with nothing else to ponder but where you may be

noiseless sound

i sit and listen to the sound of silence
in that sound i hear Your voice
the most distant sound is where You lie
i must push out the noise, all the other noise...
so easy to hear
so easy it seems
easy to listen to all the other noise

so hard to be silent
in fear of what i might hear
Your voice feels so far
yet it's so very near
in the sound of silence lies the key to Your voice
in that noiseless sound Your voice cries out
it stills my heart , it calms my fears

so my soul battles against the noise
my heart, my mind, my thoughts...they battle to hear Your voice
You long to be heard
in a great big world
with so much noise
through the rain
the pain
the colors
and the glitz
the noise
the toys
the anger
and the fists...
through it all Your voice remains
soft and gentle
free of worry
free of pain

she waits at the gate
he seems to be late
each moment feeling like an hour
she holds a single flower
"he loves me, he loves me not," are the words stirring in her head
"will he be the one i choose to wed?"
her patience grow thin as her thoughts grow louder
another moment passes, still feeling like an hour
her excitement it seems she can no longer contain
until she feels the first heavy drop of rain
the clouds begin to cover the sun
minutes pass one by one

the sky grows dark and the rain pours down

her once giddy smile turns into a frown

"this evening did not turn out the way I thought"

she pulls the last two petals...
